The Fourth Station: Jesus Meets His Mother

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world
Jesus was not the only one who suffered the cross that day. Mary, His mother was there and shared it in another way.
The most intense trail of her life must have weakened her. But Now, seeing His face, she sees more than only His pain. She detects HIs resolve, His utter fearlessness. She is strengtherned by it.
Courage is required to persevere in faithfulness to God. It is not will power of our own. Amid trials and temptations to "take it easy" we need to cling to Him and the gift is He.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven,
Give us today our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as
we forgive those who trespass against us.
Do not lead us to the test, but deliver us from all evil - Amen
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God, Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. - Amen
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as is was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end. - Amen
Have mercy on us O Lord – Have mercy on us
May the souls of the faithful departed through the Mercy of God rest in peace. Amen
